Requirements

  • Most organisations can host fellows: universities, research centres, industry, SMEs, etc
  • Host organisations can meet the remaining 60% from any non-EU funding source
  • There are no restrictions on the nationality of the researcher, but non-EU nationals can only apply to work with EU host organisations
  • Applicants must have lived and worked in their host country for less than 12 months in the three years before the application deadline
  • Fellows must be employed by their Host Organisation for the duration of their project and be paid at the standard Marie Curie rate for the programme (starting at £38,798)
  • Fellows must have access to training and leadership development opportunities to help boost their careers

How does it work?

  • Researchers contact host organisations to agree a project area and PI, and to secure matched funding
  • Researcher and PI collaborate on the application
